The Sabarmati Riverfront is set for a greener future with more space dedicated to gardens and multi-use areas. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation has revamped its development plan, allocating nearly 5 per cent more land for green spaces. Residential zones have been scrapped entirely, and the business area has been reduced to a mere 0.27 per cent.
The space allocated for public purposes has been reduced by 6.4 per cent, from 13.75 per cent to 7.35 per cent.
