Boating activities at the Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary are set to resume soon, much to the delight of bird enthusiasts and tourists. This largest wetland, spanning over 120 square kilometres near Sanand, is already witnessing the arrival of migratory birds, heralding the peak season. Boating was discontinued here, and lakes all over the state, after the Harni Lake boat tragedy in Vadodara.
In a meeting held on Wednesday, the Ahmedabad District Collector assured boat owners that their applications for boating permissions would be processed promptly. This assurance comes as a relief to many, as the absence of boating activities has left visitors disappointed.
