With Uttarayan just around the corner, bootleggers in Ahmedabad seem to be adopting a new strategy. Instead of the usual 750 ml bottles, they are now smuggling smaller 300 ml bottles of liquor. This unusual tactic was discovered on January 5th when the Ahmedabad city police intercepted a vehicle near Gujarat Bottling in Bapunagar. The vehicle was carrying a large consignment of these smaller bottles, raising suspicions among the officers.
