Tired of waiting for the last six months for a go ahead from the Gujarat Housing Board (GHB), members of Surya Apartment, Part-2, in Shastri Nagar area on Sunday joined the developer in demolishing one of the 11 blocks of their society.
The members took the step due to lack of a proactive response from the GHB in the redevelopment matter despite over 75 % of residents giving their notarised consent for the same. The redevelopment agreement was signed with Bhavna Property Developer.
