With Shravan beginning August 5, the Somnath Temple Trust has swung into action, making special arrangements for the holy month that attracts devotees from across the country in a large number. Somnath is considered to be the first among the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva, and receives the highest number of devotees during Shravan month.
"Dhwaja Puja at the Somnath temple during Shravan has a special significance. It is a special puja where you get an opportunity to hoist a special new Dhwaja (flag) on the temple top.
