The Rajkot sessions court on Monday rejected the bail applications of four accused in the Rajkot TRP Game Zone fire that took place on May 25 and claimed 27 lives, including nine children. The four accused who moved the bail plea include the owner of the game zone Ashoksinh Jadeja, and three officers of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation -- former Chief Fire Officer Ilesh Kher and former Assistant Town Planning Officers (TPO) Rajesh Makwana & Gautam Joshi. The TPOs' advocate submitted that the two officials joined the post after the game zone tragedy. The advocate of the game zone owner Jadeja argued that Jadeja did not monitor any activity at the game zone as he neither visited the game zone nor had any information about its operations. After hearing the argument, the court rejected the bail plea of all the four accused against whom the chargesheet has been filed. The accused will now be approaching the high court for their bail.
