Vidyapith team to march across villages from Oct 21

Students, staff to go on 6-day march to mark 155th birth anniv of Bapu, will cover 1.8k villages in state

As many as 1,800 students as well as academic and non-academic staff of the Gujarat Vidyapith will take out Gandhi Gramjivan Padyatra, a foot march that will cover 1,800 villages in the state, between October 21 to October 26. The march has been organised to mark the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and popularise his ideals and life lessons among the citizens.

The announcement was made at an event at Vidyapith on Gandhi Jayanti on Wednesday. The students will inspire and train farmers and villagers for natural farming.
