Innocent driver stung by cops after plates were cloned

A DRIVER had their car stung and seized in after an innocent mistake.

Officers used a stinger strip to burst the Toyota's tyres on the A45 Small Heath Highway in Birmingham.

But when they spoke to the driver they realised they had been the victim of an innocent mistake.

The Toyota had previously been stolen and was on cloned plates.
