SIR STEVE REDGRAVE expects supermum Helen Glover to lead Team GB on a rampage of shock and oar in the Paris 2024 regatta.
Redgrave, who won five gold medals in consecutive Games from 1984-2000, expects the Brits to banish their Tokyo nightmare three years ago, when they won no rowing gold for the first time since 1980.
Glover and diver Tom Daley will be Team GB's flag bearers at the opening ceremony on Friday.
The mother-of-three, who won Great Britain's first gold at London 2012 with Heather Stanning, set out at 11.50am at Eton Dorney.
She will set off at exactly the same time here on August 1 in search of a third Olympic title.
Redgrave predicts a gold rush after just a silver and a bronze in Tokyo, where Glover missed out after a cruel lane draw left her and Polly Swann battling waves where rivals were racing on a millpond.
Redgrave said: "She is sending out a powerful message to society why should motherhood change the course of your career?
