Amy: I'd wanted to celebrate end of my chemo anniversary dancing on Strictly

STRICTLY professional Amy Dowden says watching Saturday's show from the sidelines will be "tough", as she wanted to mark a year since she finished chemotherapy with a routine.

The 34-year-old returned to the BBC show for its 20th anniversary series after missing out last year while undergoing cancer treatment.

However, she was forced to pull out earlier this week after suffering an insufficiency stress foot fracture.

On ITV's Lorraine yesterday, Amy confessed: "Saturday is going to be tough because I really wanted to be dancing on that floor to show myself how far I've come in one year."

She explained that tomorrow will be a year since she rang the bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy treatment.
