Fortunately only his pride was hurt and got up with a big grin. He went on to score England's equaliser and again in the penalty shoot-out in their quarter-final victory over Switzerland in Dusseldorf on Saturday.
England's media team posted footage of Saka's fall on X yesterday with the caption: "From hero to zero... Never change Bukayo Saka."
The team remain in high spirits despite learning that German referee Felix Zwayer who was involved in a bitter spat with midfielder Jude Bellingham will take charge of their semi-final against the Netherlands tomorrow.
