SPORTS fans yesterday lined the streets to say goodbye to rugby league's iconic No 7 Rob Burrow on the seventh day of the seventh month of the year.
The 41-year-old Leeds Rhino star lost his brave battle against motor neurone disease last month.
As Rob's funeral cortege passed through the West Yorkshire towns where he honed his rugby talents, hundreds of people applauded and threw flowers.
He was later laid to rest in a private service at Pontefract Crematorium.
A five-car procession carried Rob's wife Lindsey, his children Macy, Maya and Jackson as well as his parents, Geoff and Irene.
