I'm still playing catch-up to Jonno

MARO ITOJE will have more England caps than Martin Johnson by Saturday night but insists he is way behind in the numbers that matter.

Lock Itoje will make his 85th England appearance when he lines up against New Zealand at Twickenham, taking him past the 84 clocked up by 2003 World Cup-winning skipper Johnson.

The pair have both won Premiership titles, European Cups and Six Nations Grand Slams but Itoje has never won the ultimate prize.

Johnson was also part of an England side that won 12 games on the spin, home and away, against the southern hemisphere big three of New Zealand, South Africa and Australia between June 2000 and November 2003.
