Kate: It was an honour to have met brave and humble Liz

THE Prince and Princess of Wales yesterday paid tribute to aspiring photographer Liz Hatton, who has died at the age of 17.

The teenager compiled a bucketlist of events she wanted to capture after she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer at the beginning of the year.

Her story reached the ears of William and Kate - a keen photographer who has also had the disease and they invited Liz to take pictures of the prince at an investiture last month.

A picture of Kate hugging the teenager captured the hearts of the nation and led to Liz being invited to shoot a host of A-list events.

In a tribute posted on their Kensington Palace social media accounts yesterday, the royal couple said: "We are so sorry to hear that Liz Hatton has sadly passed away.
