Kreminna is first city captured in Donbas

A MAJOR town in the besieged region of the Donbas has fallen to Russian forces after a long and valiant fightback.

Kreminna in Luhansk, which has a population of around 18,000, is now under full Kremlin control, according to intelligence reports received by the UK's Ministry of Defence.

No further details were given but the news was seen as significant while heavy shelling continued along a 300-mile front.
