Kyiv uses British Storm Shadow missile to kill 2 Russian colonels

VLADIMIR Putin has lost at least two colonels in a Ukrainian attack on Russian territory using a British Storm Shadow missile.

Lt Col Valery Tereshchenko, chief of communications of the elite 76th Pskov Airborne Division, was in a command post in which eight senior officers died in Lgov in the Kursk region. Killed in the same bunker was Col Pavel Maletsky, 39, commander of the 656th separate engineersapper battalion.

The strike was on December 30 but the high-ranking casualties were only disclosed yesterday as their funeral details emerged.

And 22 Russian military personnel were also wounded in the missile attack.
