Serial killer-obsessed Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe, both 16, were jailed for life last month for luring 16-year-old Brianna to a park at Warrington in Cheshire, and stabbing her 28 times in February last year.
Now Brianna's mother Esther Ghey has revealed how she met Jenkinson's mother and uncle at a private meeting last week in Warrington.
Esther, 37, hopes the two mothers can work together on the Peace in Mind community interest company she has launched as Brianna's legacy.
Campaigning
Campaigning Esther has been approaching ministers to call for mindfulness lessons for all schoolchildren, explaining how it helped her and Brianna's big sister Alisha through "the worst days" of their lives.
Esther said of her meeting: "Both of us are mothers who are trying to navigate something nobody should ever have gone through.
"It was emotional. Both Scarlett's mum and uncle are very nice people, just normal people.
