MY HUSBAND Steve used to be so active, but within just a few months he seemed to age 10 years and was riddled with aching joints.
5 years ago, just after we retired, we bought a static caravan in North Wales, it was our dream come true! We'd always loved spending family holidays there when the kids were younger.
Getting the caravan changed our life. We'd go for walks on the beach with our dog Rosie and we spent so much time outdoors. We loved taking our grandkids there too, reliving old memories and making new ones too.
But last year, things changed, Steve started suffering with knee pain, foot pain and back pain. He came on less walks, and when we did go out, he didn't want to go far, always complaining about his knees hurting, his feet aching and his back giving him trouble!
We would often go to the camp centre social evenings and loved getting up to have a dance, Steve was quite a mover in his day! But even dancing became too much for him.
