THE mothers of two children who died when they were caught in a suspected rip tide have paid emotional tributes at the start of an inquest.
They also voiced safety concerns after Joe Abbess, 17, and Sunnah Khan, 12, drowned and eight people were treated by paramedics after getting into trouble in the water near Bournemouth pier in May last year.
