EASTENDERS star Don Gilet has been named as the new lead detective in Death In Paradise - nine years after he last appeared on the show.
Don, 57, previously guest starred as Andre Morgan in a single episode of series four of the Caribbean murder mystery series.
This time he is Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson and becomes the first black star to land the plum role since Paradise began in 2011.
Don, who was EastEnders villain Lucas Johnson and has also been in Holby City, has already started filming in Guadeloupe.
