MILITARY veterans enjoy an ice cream and a stroll during a day out at the seaside yesterday.

Oh, we do lick to be beside the seaside...

The trip to Worthing, West Sussex, was organised as a special thank you for their service and they were greeted with applause as they arrived.

Sixty veterans travelled to the coast, heroes of conflicts in the Second World War, Korea, Burma, the Far East, Falklands and Afghanistan.

They arrived at the seaside in a convoy of black cabs as part of a trip organised by the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans.
