Bridget Hutchcroft - whose Pandora Dress Agency was visited by the then Princess of Wales and actresses such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Ava Gardner - claims she was swindled by former friend and "connoisseur of high-end couture" Ekaterina Barrett.
Ms Hutchcroft says Ms Barrett, 67, persuaded her to hand over her life savings to fund a divorce but failed to repay it. When she asked for the cash, she claims she was told "if you do not wait for me to repay the loans in my own time, you will have to wait for 100 years".
Ms Barrett failed to abide by a deal so Ms Hutchcroft, 63, won a High Court judgment £1,665,560 for the loan plus interest.
