Graham Short spent hundreds of hours etching the Bard's features on to a speck of 9ct gold which he mounted in the eye of a needle.
The work, which is so tiny it needs a microscope for people to see it, is being sold for £24,000. Each hair on the writer's head is 50 microns wide - half that of human hair.
