STEVE BORTHWICK'S England blew out Storm Eddie Jones as they finally got a win on the board after a nightmare November.

But can they do it on a windy, rainy night in Dublin against Ireland - because that is what is coming in the opening round of the Six Nations in early February?

And can they do it on a windy day back at Twickenham against Antoine Dupont's France and Finn Russell's Scotland in the two rounds after that? The jury is still out.

A nine-try romp against the world's 13th-ranked side is hard to judge but it was job done and a Jones-style banana skin avoided.

The Aussie would have liked nothing more than getting one over the Twickenham bosses who sacked him in December 2022.
