Foster backs Peaty to lead another British gold rush

ADAM PEATY led Team GB's biggest gold rush since the Klondike at the past two Olympics.

And six-time world champion Mark Foster is backing Britain's greatest swimmer to hit the gold standard again in Paris this summer.

At an ungodly hour, with the finals shunted past midnight to suit American TV primetime audiences, Peaty landed the first of 27 Olympic titles for his country at the Rio 2016 Games in the 100 metres breaststroke.

Five years later, in Tokyo, he was the first Briton to bring home the bullion as he defended his crown.

And Foster, right, is tipping him to give Britain the most thrilling ride conceived in Staffordshire since the Nemesis rollercoaster at Alton Towers.
