A lesson in dignity

BRIANNA Ghey's grieving mum last night bravely brushed aside the Prime Minister's transgender jibe by saying she wanted to focus on creating a lasting legacy for her daughter.

In an inspiring message posted through the Peace & Mind group set up in her daughter's memory last year, Esther Ghey said she wanted to campaign for "positive change".

Referring to Rishi Sunak's Commons sneer on Wednesday, she wrote: "I don't wish to comment on reports of wording or comments recently made.

"My focus is on creating a positive change and a lasting legacy for Brianna." Ms Ghey said she wanted to improve lives and empower people by helping them "build mental resilience, empathy and self-compassion through mindfulness".
