Yes, he was famous, internationally known, moved in glamorous circles, but underneath all that was just a person, like the rest of us.
It's doubtful that any of the accolades, awards and achievements meant more to Liam than the simple, undeniable facts about who he really was. Son. Brother. Friend. Daddy.
It's so common for those left behind to wish that their departed loved one could see the reaction, the devastation, to their death, and that's a particularly poignant thought here, for someone so troubled, gone so young. Liam is mourned on two levels - by people who knew him inside out, and others who felt close and deeply connected to him despite only ever meeting briefly, or perhaps not at all.
