THE grandad of the youngest Southport stabbings victim has slammed Tory MPs for trying to use the tragedy for political gain.
Michael Weston King, grandad of Bebe King, six, hit out at new party leader Kemi Badenoch and rival Robert Jenrick, who is now Shadow Justice Secretary, over their response to the news that the suspected knifeman has been charged with terror offences.
The pair claimed information on the attack was hidden from the public and demanded answers about when Prime Minister Keir Starmer knew suspect Axel Rudakubana, 18, was to face further offences.
Rudakubana, of Banks, Lancs, faces trial in January charged with the murders of Bebe, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine. Last week, he was charged with two further offences - the production of a deadly toxin, ricin, and possessing an al-Qaeda training manual.
