JAY Slater's devastated loved ones tenderly laid flowers near the spot where his body was found and paid tribute to him.
Now his grieving family face an agonising wait to return his body to the UK from Tenerife while making plans for his funeral.
Blue and white flowers, a bottle of water and teddy with a Union Jack jumper were placed on the dirt track near the treacherous ravine where his body was discovered on Monday.
His mum Debbie, 55, wrote: "To my beautiful boy, I am so sorry we never found you. I miss you so much.
"You will be forever young and forever missed. Mum xxx."
His older brother Zak also left a heartfelt note saying: "Love you little bro, never in a million years did I think I would be saying this.
