DISABLED journalist Frank Gardner has slammed "shameful" treatment on a plane when he had to crawl to use the bathroom.
Mr Gardner, who lost the use of his legs after being shot in Saudi Arabia in 2004, was using Polish carrier LOT when cabin crew told him the policy was not to have wheelchairs on board.
Speaking of his ordeal, he said: "On a flight from Warsaw back to London on Monday I had to crawl on the floor of the plane in order to reach the toilet.
