The new Red Dragons head coach takes charge of his first senior match in Cardiff tonight after giving a calm, considered and measured display during his pre-match musings.
The only consistent from Bellamy - a notorious firebrand as a player was the passion and pride with which he spoke as he prepared to lead out his country for the first time.
But other than that, his overriding desire was to take in every second of his latest career opportunity.
Bellamy, 45, said: "I'm going to enjoy this. This isn't going to make me old quickly. I'm going to sit back and enjoy this.
