BLADE RUNNER STEPS OUT AS A FREE MAN

OSCAR Pistorius has been pictured for the first time since he was freed from jail after killing his girlfriend.

The amputee athlete, known as the Blade Runner due to his prosthetic legs, appears to have lost weight and aged, with grey and thinning hair, during his eight-and-a-half years in prison.

Friends of Reeva Steenkamp, who Pistorius shot dead on Valentine's Day 2013, were angered by the images and said they felt sorry for her mum, June.

Family lawyer Tania Koen said: "I feel sorry for June, who is serving a life sentence. She will never get to see Reeva's smile. Ever."
