A SCHOOLBOY has suffered life-changing head injuries in an attack by what is believed to be an XL Bully.

The eight-year-old was last night in serious but stable condition in hospital after emergency surgery.

Police seized the dog after being called to the attack in a communal area of a block of flats at 5.20 pm on Saturday.

It was later destroyed with the agreement of the owner.

Amanda Young, 49, and Lewis Young, 30, have been charged with being responsible for a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury. They have been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today.
