A 16-year-old boy charged with murdering fellow teen Harry Pitman on New Year's Eve wept in the Old Bailey's dock yesterday.
Prosecuting, Jocelyn Ledward said at the bail hearing that the alleged attack on Harry, 16, happened just yards from police and paramedics.
They were attending an altercation that broke out on Primrose Hill, North London, where thousands had gathered to watch New&nbsp;Year's Eve fireworks. Harry was allegedly attacked at 11.40 pm.
Ms Ledward said an offensive weapon had been used.
The accused teenager, arrested after walking into a police station, was returned to a youth detention centre.
He was remanded in custody amid fears for his own safety after threats were reported to&nbsp;have been made online. He is due to enter a plea at the Old Bailey on March 26. A trial date was set for September 2.

Pedro Porro, who scored the game's only goal, wrote on social media after the match: "Dedicating this win and my goal to you, Harry."
