A FORMER police officer accused of 13 counts of rape tied up an alleged victim and threatened to cut her throat, a court has heard.
Cliff Mitchell, 24, is said to have told the woman he would kill her. In a tearful police interview played to a jury she said: "He came up to me with a knife to my neck. 'Do not move or else I will slit your neck right here. Then he tied my hands with cable ties."
She told officers he had laughed when she cried, saying no one would believe her if she spoke up. She escaped by saying she had to get out of the car as she felt sick. Croydon crown court heard she fled to the car of a female motorist.
Mitchell, 24, of Wandsworth, South London, denies 13 counts of rape, breaching a non-molestation order and two counts of kidnapping. The charges against Mitchell include six of rape against a girl, including three when she was under 13.
Three of the six also state there were at least 30 other occasions where the girl may have been similarly assaulted.
