Hudson-Odoi hails Wood as Forest's very own Haaland

HE doesn't play like Erling Haaland, he doesn't score as many goals as Erling Haaland but Chris Wood is every bit as valuable as him to Nuno Espirito Santo.

It's now nine goals this season for a striker enjoying the form of his life in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old has scored at a rate of knots during spells in the Championship, particularly with Leeds, but not with this frequency in the top flight.

And with a trip to Manchester City coming up this week, it was a good time to draw the comparison with their prolific striker.

"Chris is our version of him, definitely," said Callum Hudson-Odoi (inset). "He gets most of our goals and Haaland gets most of theirs.

"Every team looks to their main strikers to produce game in, game out, It will be the same on Wednesday.

"He's been so good. You can see the confidence growing in him.
