Uncle's plea as another teen is stabbed to death

A GRIEF-STRICKEN uncle is urging youngsters to lay down their knives after his nephew became the latest victim in the blade epidemic.

Taye Faik, 16, was stabbed just yards from his home in a quiet cul-de-sac.

He was reportedly ambushed by two balaclava-wearing attackers armed with a machete in Edmonton, North London.

His death comes days after the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Elianne Andam, who was killed on her way to school in Croydon, South London.

Taye's uncle, Altough Faik, 42, said: "He was a beautiful boy. We are devastated. He had a bright future ahead of him. He managed to get to his house after being stabbed. All I can imagine is the look on his face as he was stabbed. I keep playing it over and over in my mind."

He pleaded: "These boys must lay down these knives."
