TWO retired police officers have admitted being in a paedophile ring with a Met chief.
Jack Addis, 63, and Jeremy Laxton, 62, pleaded guilty to conspiring with serving Chief Inspector Richard Watkinson to distribute or show indecent images of children.
Watkinson, 49, was found dead on the day he was to be charged with child sex offences.
The abuse network was uncovered after Addis, a Met firearms officer for 32 years, was arrested at his home in Dumfries, Scotland, in July 2021 on suspicion of photographing naked boys.
Addis told detectives he had been living a double life, viewing sick images for up to 10 years.
He said he believed he was a paedophile and a risk to children but would never harm a child.
