Now a team of medical experts put together by coroners is sifting through records of women who were under his care. Some 27 inquests have been opened in cases where&nbsp;coroners "believe there is evidence to have reason to suspect some deaths may be unnatural".
Debbie Douglas, a former patient who runs charity Breast Friends Solihull, told the Sunday Times: "There were six friends I lost that were all Paterson patients, that I suspected didn't have the right treatments."
Birmingham coroner's office was unavailable for comment yesterday but refused to answer questions on the inquests, the newspaper said.
