A GRIEVING mum who backed the Mirror's fight on deadly dogs welcomed the XL Bully ban but called for even more action.
Emma Whitfield urged No10 to now tackle rogue breeders and bad owners.
Rishi Sunak yesterday said XL Bullys will be outlawed by the end of the year, after the Mirror's two-year campaign against dangerous dogs. But the PM was slammed for taking so long to act as more and more people became victims of the savage animals. Emma, 32, whose son Jack Lis, 10, was killed by an XL Bully in Caerphilly, South Wales, said of the ban: "This is an utter relief.
"Thank God they've finally listened.
"But the work doesn't stop here. They need to crack down on the dodgy breeders and bad owners.
It's the only way we'll stop it happening." There have been 18 UK fatal dog attacks since Jack's in November 2021- 11 believed to be Bully-type animals.
