Grieving families prepare 2nd sad farewells

SECOND funerals are taking place for some of the people whose remains were recovered from an undertakers at the heart of a police probe.

A total of 35 bodies were discovered at Legacy Independent funeral directors after they had supposedly been laid to rest.

Families have been desperate to finally give them peace.

Now DNA tests have confirmed the identities of some loved ones and funerals are being planned.

Tristan Essex said he was "hugely relieved" to be arranging a second funeral for gran Jessie Stockdale.

The 24-year-old said: "We've waited six weeks and three days.

"It's so heartwarming that people are making an effort to help us."
