FANS were optimistic and now it is official, football really is coming home.
The UK and Ireland all celebrated yesterday as UEFA announced the five countries would be hosting Euro 2028.
Six of 10 stadiums in the April bid are in England. It is thought Cardiff's Principality Stadium will have the opening match, with the final at Wembley.
England would love to hear "football's coming home", from the 1996 anthem Three Lions, once again ringing out around the North London stadium.
