AUTHOR Jilly Cooper says she has ditched any concerns about dark-haired Alex Hassell playing her blond Adonis in Rivals because he is so brilliant.
The writer of the 1980s bonkbuster says Hassell's acting skills and dashing good looks won her over for the lead role of Rupert Campbell-Black.
Dame Jilly, 87, said: "I'm over the moon Alex is playing my superhero.
