IT was a Father's Day football fixture like no other, and so the mother of all cheers went up in pubs and fan zones across England when the Three Lions secured their nervy 1-0 win over Serbia.

A TV audience of 17 million was predicted, the biggest of the year so far.

And around two million supporters watched the game in 35,000 pubs, or at fan zones, such as those in Greenwich, London, Times Square, Newcastle, Central Park in Brighton, and at the Diecast Bar in Manchester.

In Newcastle, fans were singing in the rain but nothing could dampen their spirits after Jude Bellingham headed in what turned out to be the winner.
