IT HAS been a while since Peta Hiku lined up as a full-back – but the Kiwi star is ready to show new club Hull KR that he is No.1.
The New Zealand international has started pre-season training this week after joining from North Queensland Cowboys on a three-year deal.
He has spent much of his career in the centre, wing or at half-back but KR boss Willie Peters (right) has him lined up to play full-back in 2024.
Hiku, 30, said: “At the moment, he has been talking about playing me at the back and seeing how I go. I haven’t been there for a long time.
“In my last year at New Zealand Warriors I had a few games there, maybe about 10. But the last two years at North Queensland I’ve just been playing centre.
