A WOMAN of 96 has become the oldest woman in Britain to be convicted of dangerous driving after killing a woman when she accidentally pressed the accelerator.

June Mills was trying to manoeuvre around a parked car when she hit the wrong pedal and piled into two OAPs.

Brenda Joyce, 76, who had been walking on the pavement with a friend, died as a result of her injuries in August 2023.

Mills was given a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and got a £1,500 fine.
