GIOVANNI Pernice is facing his dancing D-Day this week when the results of the BBC's Strictly bullying probe are revealed.
Insiders claim the report's release would allow them to start announcing the names for the 20th anniversary line-up from next Monday.
A source said: "It's hoped that matters will be decided before then and everyone can move on, and we can start getting excited about the new names attached to the show instead of it being dogged by controversy."
BBC Director General Tim Davie has apologised to celebrities whose Strictly experience was not "wholly positive".
It is widely expected that the results of the probe will be revealed this week, in a bid to draw a line under the scandal. A source added: "The BBC hope that this report will bring the closure the show desperately needs.
