RORY MCILROY was staying tight-lipped last night and concentrating on his game as it was revealed he and Tiger Woods could have been offered ownership of LIV Golf team franchises.

Ahead of today’s start to the Scottish Open, the proposed peace deal between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund was investigated at a US Senate sub-committee hearing.

And McIlroy’s name came up in Washington, with documents emerging that included a proposition to give him and Woods their own LIV franchises.

But the Northern Irishman was not focusing on anything other than his game.
