Caretaker boss Ryan inspires comeback to turn fans'jeers into cheers

FROM somewhere deep within, Tottenham found the fight they have been lacking all season.

Tottenham forward HeungMin Son grabbed a late leveller to complete a memorable fightback to frustrate United and change the mood from rebellion to celebration.

United were 2-0 up and cruising at half-time, the Spurs fans were beginning to turn on under-fire chairman Daniel Levy, and it looked like it was only heading one way.

But caretaker boss Ryan Mason clearly summoned up a spirit which has been missing for so long and the fans stayed behind at the final whistle to clap the players off.

That is some turnaround from the 6-1 mauling at Newcastle. The anti-Levy protests outside the stadium did not really make the noise and fuss the fed-up fans were hoping before the game.

But the mood soon turned toxic inside when Tottenham went behind after the sort of start the club's hierarchy must have been dreading.
