ACTOR Stephen Tompkinson has revealed his loving partner lost her parents in a road accident weeks after he was accused of assault.
The DCI Banks star paid tribute to Jess Johnson, calling her his "shining light" during his two-year court ordeal.
Yet he told how, weeks after his altercation, the actress's mum Elaine Sullivan, 59, and stepdad David Daglish, 57, died instantly when a lorry piled into their stationary car on the A1 in July 2021.
A court heard its driver, Ion Onut, was sexting and had failed to notice traffic had stopped in Bowburn, Co Durham.
